We will read: historical fiction, science fiction, realistic fiction, biographies, memoirs, mysteries, poetry and fantasy.
All books are discussed indepth, including vocabulary and useful quotes. We have literature circles and vocabulary quizzes and my personal favorite- essay tests. Then everyone hands in their papers / book reports. I tend to prefer written responses. I will have these done in class, until January. Cursive is a must. Students will learn how to write compositions to wow the masses, complete with references, footnotes and citations galore.
